The Organization was founded over 50 years ago as a Federation and is the only registered Employers’ Organisation within the Hairdressing, Cosmetology and Beauty industries. It is registered under the Labour Relations Act and is a non-profit organization - it is the direct opposite to the Union (UASA) – We are your Union! The Organization is a member of the OMC (Organzation Mondial Coiffure), an International World Hairdressing Organization that represents hairdressing & beauty on different forums and is responsible for the “Hairdressing Olympics”! This membership enables us to participate and attend the World Championships, which is hosted every two years in host countries. Competitions encourage and promote international trade and exposure, information sharing, benchmarking and promotes beneficial international relationships. |
